I would like to suggest a topic for the CEO meeting. And for other<br>
relevant fora as well. Namely, an old but still very relevant one,<br>
now that meetings have become physical again:<br>

Visa problems with people from certain areas in the world, notably<br>
Africa.<br>

In particular, I would highlight the time limits in Community Travel<br>
Support Guidelines, which say that substitutions must be made at the<br>
latest 45 days before the event.<br>
<br>
Given the timeframe traveller decisions are made, visa problems are<br>
often not even known that early.<br>
<br>
Arguing that the policy is the same for everyone is disingenious,<br>
as the problem doesn't apply to everyone equally.<br>
<br>
When you look at their actual effect, these rules are clearly<br>
discriminatory, if not outright racist, in practice.<br>
<br>
As a concrete small step that would help at least a little, those<br>
substitution time limits should be relaxed when the reason for<br>
the substitution is a visa problem.<br>
<br>
In addition to the usual things like negotiating about it with<br>
the host country already before selecting the meeting site.<br>
