<p>I agree with you Thato. I think that we are not always
respectful enough to be polite, to listen carefully, and to try to
explain in simple terms. Native English speakers are not always
respectful to those who are struggling in their second, third, or
fourth language. Cultural expectations of what constitutes
respectful discourse vary enormously. Those who are working hard
on working groups are not always patient with those who are not,
particularly if they see evidence that the person has not read the
documents being discussed. I think it would be useful to hold
such a webinar, but I am not sure that those who are most apt to
be abrupt in their speech would attend.</p>
<p>Let us be clear though, uttering threats and abusing the list to
continue an argument is unacceptable behaviour that falls outside
the acceptable behaviour standards. Rudeness and abruptness are
regrettable but they are in a completely different category. We
must all try not to take offence and escalate these arguments, it
causes great problems in our stakeholder group.<br>

dealing with issues, some people find themselves in such
situations of the first time and then the action is taken

they still not corrected or made to apologise for instigating
unacceptable conduct.<br>

I am not helping but instead undermining their intelligence
and logical thinking, we must ask for clarity instead of
labeling people or their statements prematurely without
seeking to understand them, this is my opinion a person that

<div>We must also look at the trend from involved parties not
just an occurrence that was decided to be dealt with, this
will help us in ensuring we deal with root causes and
instigators of unacceptable behavior. Some of us can handle
ruthlessness because of our experience and some just react to
it, no matter how individuals handle it, the cause should
remain the main problem because some comments can really
provoke emotional responses, this must be highly guarded.</div>

<div>I really hope this kind of issues are dealt with
effectively and fairly looking at both sides of aggrieved
parties not just one side.</div>

<div>Not sure if an intervention, training, webinar or meeting
to address issues surrounding "Unacceptable behaviors from
community members" would benefit the health of the community
but something to consider moving forward. I also have my own
reservation of unacceptable behaviors, so this exercise will
help bring everyone to agreeing on what is acceptable and not
acceptable, thanks.<br>
