<p><font size="+1"><font face="Lucida Grande">Dear members, the interim report of the policy for disclosure of redacted registration data is being released today. We on the EPDP team have had quite a struggle trying to protect registrant rights, and demanding
a uniform policy regardless of whether data protection law applies in the particular jurisdiction, but I would hardly call our efforts an unqualified success. Please see below the announcement of an upcoming webinar on the subject of this proposed disclosure
instrument. We will hold our own webinar afterwards, to provide the views of the EPDP team on the report itself.</font></font></p>
<p><font size="+1"><font face="Lucida Grande">The comment period will be 45 days. It is important that we provide comments on this important policy. If you have a relationship with your data commissioner, please consider writing to them with any concerns

webinar will provide an overview of the EPDP’s Phase 2
proposed recommendations for a Standardized System for
Access and Disclosure (SSAD). This effort builds upon the
EPDP’s Phase 1 work on enhancing Registration Data Services
where, under certain circumstances, personal contact
information is now redacted. The Phase 2 effort for
developing the SSAD will allow for disclosure of this
redacted contact information based on third-party legitimate
interests, administration proceedings, and law enforcement
needs, subject to applicable law and the rights of the data
subject.</span></p>
