Thanks very much for flagging this, as I think it's a very important<br>
area for NCSG engagement. ATRT3 is discussing a fairly dramatic<br>
overhaul to how community review, and ICANN's own accountability<br>
mechanisms are set up. There are options on the table which might<br>
substantially undercut the volume and scope of community review. In<br>
particular, there is a suggestion to reduce all the specific reviews<br>
(AT, SSR, CCT, & RDS) down to a single review that would only take<br>
place once every 7 years. All organizational reviews, for SOs and ACs,<br>
would be reduced down to a 3-5 day workshop to take place once every<br>
three years. You can find these proposals at pages 90-92.<br>

This is an enormous change. I hope the NCSG takes a careful look at<br>
these proposals, and considers carefully their potential impact on<br>
accountability at ICANN in drafting our response.<br>
