<p><font size="+1"><font face="Lucida Grande">Dear Members, we have had a great discussion on the list about the 45 minute call I had with Goran yesterday, and I am preparing a short report on how that call went. In the meantime please see the below instructions
concerning our upcoming meeting with the CEO and the Board at ICANN 66. There are changes, and if possible I would certainly like to take them up on the proposla to have a wider ranging discussion on one topic. The question is, which topic and how elastic
can we make it (in other words, can we fit in some of the themes we discussed on the list)> For your information, I did bring up the climate change/carbon footprint issue, and pointed out that 500,000 people marched down University avenue in Montreal last
week. We don't want them picketing ICANN while we are at ICANN 66....</font></font></p>
<p><font size="+1"><font face="Lucida Grande">Goran indicated that as far as he is concerned, determining our carbon footprint is basic accountability, expected of all corporations nowadays. That is why he thinks we should do it.</font></font></p>

that should be done/improved in order to implement these plans successfully, starting 1 July 2020, as mandated by our Bylaws. In addition, the Board asked for <u>one suggestion</u> of something that could be done <u>externally</u> to improve trust and with
our partners and alliances (eg. IETF) so that they collaborate effectively with ICANN on some of our strategic objectives (eg. DNS security).</span><span style="font-size:11.0pt"><o:p></o:p></span></p>
