As you know, the IGF Secretariat hosted a capacity building workshop<br>
during the ICANN64 meeting. The workshop focused on outreach and<br>
engagement toward all stakeholders with specific focus on the Asia<br>
Pacific region. The main reason for implementing this workshop was to<br>
increase the stakeholder engagement from the Asia Pacific region,<br>
given the low historic record.<br>
The workshop was held on 12 March from 17:00 - 18:30 hrs. It gathered<br>
between 50 and 55 participants. Among these, three MAG members<br>
attended. Participants were guided on the process of engagement at the<br>
IGF through a visual presentation:<br>

We focused mainly on guiding the participants how to submit a workshop<br>
proposal for IGF 2019. From that workshop section, several<br>
questions/suggestions were raised. We would like to share a summary of<br>
key points raised, in case it will be of help to your work:<br>

<br>
*         Participants noted that the workshop application system went<br>
through several complex changes compared to last year's process. It<br>
was advised to add an indication of newly added elements to the<br>
workshop submission form, as it is time consuming to get familiar to a<br>
new process before submitting. Some suggested to add a red label 'New'<br>
next to newly introduced sections.<br>

<br>
*         Participants asked for clarification if the term 'first-time<br>
proposers' refers to individuals as co-organizers or organizations as<br>
co-organizers. It was advised to elaborate more clearly on this in the<br>
IGF 2019 Workshop Manual:<br>

evaluation process? This is not clear from the IGF 2019 Workshop Form<br>
and Manual.<br>
<br>
<br>
*         There should be a tag that reflects in a more<br>
straightforward manner the needs of people with disabilities.<br>
<br>
