 materials about getting engaged.  You can also find out about various committees and activities by checking their open archive mailing lists, see how the leaders decide and what they do (referenced in slides)</div>

<div style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">There is a learning curve but the leadership of NCSG and its constituencies try hard to make it easier for the new members. Especially the Policy Committee Chair has done a great job this year and we have
 had one of our best years in terms of issuing public comments, which has engaged new members. So don't hesitate to reach out if you want to help us. </div>

<div style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">The hottest topic nowadays is the WHOIS policy group (we call it EPDP-expedited policy development process) that was formed to discuss compliance with GDPR and privacy laws. NCSG has six appointed members
 to the group and 3 alternates. You will periodically hear about the progress of that group. </div>

<div style="font-family:verdana,sans-serif">There are other policy groups at Generic Name Supporting Organization, their progress is slow but a bit of patience and knowing that the group will not be done anytime soon will make engagement more fulfilling. </div>
