Not sure yet whether remote participation will be available for the entire meeting.<br></div><div><br></div><div>At the NCSG level, our Councilors and the Chair will be attending as well as representatives from our two constituencies. The list of attendees will be shared on this list soon.<br></div><div><br></div><div>One of the issue that i would suggest we discuss with both the CEO and the Board is the issue with finances/income. As we have learnt and have mentioned in one of our recent comment, ICANN is not doing well with regards to its income and we suggested them to cut some of their expenses so that the community doesn’t end up paying the extra cost through mechanisms such as increasing fees.<br></div><div><br></div><div>I would like to know what are their strategies to deal with this issue (especially because their FY18 budget will be out soon) and if they have taken into account our suggestions of some areas where they can cut costs. Will ICANN simply wait untill the time comes or the CEO think there can be some exception (temporary solution) to fill the gap : especially where the ICANN diversity data report expressly noted that among the 190 leaders of ICANN only 21 are African ( vs1.1 billion of inhabitants), 28 are from the LAC (650 millions) and Asia is comparatively the most underrepresented continent (taken #active internet users).
