The Civil Society Co-ordination Group supplements this process by sending its preferences to the secretariat to assist their selection process, representing the opinions of several large civil society networks. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">A dedicated Nomination Committee (or NomCom) has been set up to facilitate this process within the CSCG. The NomCom is comprised of one (1) representative from our coalition members, namely the Association for Progressive Communications (APC), Best Bits, Just Net Coalition (JNC), ICANN’s NCSG and the Internet Governance Caucus (IGC). The NomCom is coordinated by a non voting chair (Arsene Tungali), supported by CSCG Co-chair (Richard Hill). You will find all the necessary information below. This year I am representing NCSG on that NomCom (not to be confused with the ICANN NomCom or any other NomCom). <br class=""></div><br class=""><div class="">The NomCom have been tasked by the Civil Society Coordination Group (CSCG) to run the process of selection and endorsement of civil society candidates nominated for the 2018 IGF MAG selection round.<br class=""><br class="">Based on this information (<a href="https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/mag-2018-renewal-0" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank" class="">https://www.intgovforum.org/<wbr class="">multilingual/content/mag-2018-<wbr class="">renewal-0</a>), this year, there are 6 seats available for civil society candidates, the CSCG has decided to endorse a pull of up to 8 names where the IGF Secretariat will choose from.
