Afrinic had a board member visit to this years AGM of afrinic and the whole board of afrinic and ICANN board also met. I know the same is also true for APNIC and RIPE. I met steve and some others at RIPE meeting this year in fact present in the PDP even. I know the ex Chairman of APNIC now a member of ICANN board has been to varied meetings as well.
