not be reversed, but rather encouraged.<br>

Therefore, given the redirection of my interests, the development of<br>
newer leadership and the fact that we have two popular candidates for<br>
the chair position, while I am grateful for the nomination, I am turning<br>
down the opportunity to run for NCSG chair.<br>

On a personal level, I've had many discussions with her about various<br>
subjects on Internet Governance, both in the IGF as well as ICANN and<br>
she's always been helpful in explaining things, giving historic<br>
context to past decisions and on the "way things are", with ease and<br>
without getting frustrated even with a curious rookie like myself.<br>
<br>
I've heard she might be reluctant to take this position on, but I'm<br>
hoping to rally some support for her so it would become at least that<br>
little bit harder to turn the nomination down. I believe there is no<br>
one else, who is more familiar with the intricacies of running a<br>
stakeholdergroup of the civil society, in the ICANN environment. I<br>
hope others would join me in supporting her candidacy.<br>
