for a council seat, this is one of the most important policy seats and functions that the NCSG has, and needs to be held by someone with the requisite level of experience and qualifications as if it was an election, this is what the EC needs to take into account
in their selection as per the charter.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

you could commit to the time it takes. Jumping in to the council<br>
mid-term is not easy, so experience is one key criteria for the EC in<br>
considering the appointment.<br>

The term extends until ICANN60 in the fall in Abu Dhabi, although the<br>
appointment can be made for a shorter time if the EC so chooses.<br>
If this makes a difference for you, for example if you'd only be able<br>
to do shorter time, or if you would not be interested in a shorter<br>
