On 4 May, the Cross-Community Working Group on Enhancing <abbr title="Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers" style="direction:ltr;border-bottom-width:1px;border-bottom-style:dotted">ICANN</abbr> Accountability

 published its initial draft report on the elements of the <abbr title="Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers" style="direction:ltr;border-bottom-width:1px;border-bottom-style:dotted">ICANN</abbr> accountability
 framework that it has identified as essential to happen, or be committed to, before the <abbr title="Internet Assigned Numbers Authority" style="direction:ltr;border-bottom-width:1px;border-bottom-style:dotted">IANA</abbr> Stewardship
 Transition takes place. This initial draft report will be open for public comment for 30 days. Following community input during the comment period and at <a href="https://buenosaires53.icann.org/en/" style="color:rgb(0,136,204);text-decoration:none;background-color:transparent;background-repeat:initial initial" target="_blank"><abbr title="Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers" style="direction:ltr;border-bottom-width:1px;border-bottom-style:dotted">ICANN</abbr> 53</a> in

 communication to <abbr title="Internet Engineering Task Force" style="direction:ltr;border-bottom-width:1px;border-bottom-style:dotted">IETF</abbr> that
 it believed that agreeing to the proposed text of the SLA would possibly put <abbr title="Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers" style="direction:ltr;border-bottom-width:1px;border-bottom-style:dotted">ICANN</abbr> in
