<div><br></div><div>There are some interesting discussions and ideas at IETF to make Internet more "secure," more "private," but I continue to think that the issue of the NSA surveillance is out of the scope and role of ICANN and NCSG/NCUC as a constituency of ICANN and just an issue being used and abused to score political points, and gain popularity.</div>
<div><br></div><div>We still have to work as individuals and as an organization to ensure that we recover the notion of trust and make sure that the oversight mechanisms work as expected.</div><div><br></div><div>My .02</div>
