<div><br>
</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>For the first two workshops, we need Remote
Moderators. RMs are responsible for personning
a computer and keeping an eye on discussions
among/comments made by remote participants
around the world, and reading the latter out in
the open Q&A with the audience part of the
sessions. They can also pipe up with their own
views during the Q&A, and are listed in the
program. RM training can be provided by the IGF
coalition on remote participation; it's not
difficult.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>We need one RM for each of the first two
sessions above. The RM for the first session
ought to be an NCUC member. The RM for the
second session ought to be a member of any of
the three co-organizers.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Bearing in mind diversity objectives, persons
from the global South, particularly women, would
be especially good for these roles. But of
course, folks from other demographics will be
given full consideration as well.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>The most fundamental requirement is that we
need people who know for sure that they will be
able to come to Bali. Due to our financial
constraints, offers of the "I'll do it if you
pay for my travel and hotel" variety are not
viable. Sorry. While NCUC does have a pending
funding request, were it to work out that
support would have to go to a panel speaker.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>So: any members who are coming to Bali on
their own steam and who might be interested in
playing a RM role per the above, please be in
contact with me offline ASAP. Again, I must
upload complete proposals to the IGF website on
Monday.</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Thanks,</div>
